Mia is here
At 7:45am on May 4th 2010, Mia Leia-Rose Juffs was born!
She weighed 7 pounds 1 ounce, Lily was 7 pounds 2 ounces.
Here she is dressed in the spotty sleep suit - the same that Lily wore back in 2008!
Anneka is recovering a lot quicker than last time and was very happy, especially as the 2nd stage of labour lasted only 20 minutes!
After phoning around family and friends to let them know Mia had arrived, I brought Lily to the hospital to meet her new Baby Sister, Mia.
She was fascinated and has become very protective of her.
The following morning, after only a few hours sleep we had a family cuddle!
Mia is very healthy and feeding well. She's starting to open her eyes, but is spending most of the day sleeping! We'll keep you updated of Mia and Lily's progress.

Mia's 4D Scan
In March 2008 we had a 4D scan for Lily at Baby Debut in Taplow. During January this year, we decided to get another scan for our 2nd Baby - this time in Lincoln at Brayford Studio.
The facilities were fairly similar and the scan itself resulted in great pictures and the sexing of Baby Mia Leia-Rose Juffs!
In the 2nd picture, Mia looks remarkably like her big Sister - Lily:
And to this day, Lily still resembles her 4D scan pictures. So if you're contemplating a 4D scan in additional to the usual one(s) offered by the NHS, then we'd highly recommend investing in one.

Lily is to be a BIG SISTER
Well we are all pleased to announce that Baby Juffs number 2 is on the way!
We went for our first scan today and baby has a healthy heart beat and is due 7th May 2010! Putting us at 10 weeks and 5 days today.
We have known for about 6 weeks but have held back until after the scan to share our news with family and friends!

Update
Lily is now 7 weeks old and changing every day. She is now smiling which amazes me every time, she has also laughed and she will talk to you too- not in any kind of language we understand but her gurgles and coos are very cute!
She has out grown all of her newborn clothes and now slipping into all her 0-3months clothes nicely not surprising really when she is now over 10lb! Her long legs continue to grow too. She can hold her head up for about 30 seconds unaided and likes to push herself up further and further on whoever is holding her.
Lily and Mummy have been out and about too. Last week we went to Baby Massage and a Mummy and Baby group so we have met lots of new friends which is great for us both; Lily was the tiniest baby at both groups though I am sure she won't be for long!
Sleep is now getting very good for us both with Lily sleeping for about 6 hours straight so the bags under Mummy's eyes are slowly disappearing- hurray!
