What are the Chances?
With it being Christmas on the day itself we had Christmas crackers with our meal, with family in Tamworth... and I was very surprised to find not one - but TWO party hats in my cracker!
Then yesterday we had Christmas crackers again with the family in Windsor and I was truly spooked when I pulled my cracker and there was again not one, but TWO hats!!
It definately is a sign that I am pregnant, as one hat must have been for me and the other for baby!!
Seriously though what are the chances of this happening not just once but twice to the same person?????
No doubt we will be having crackers again over New Year so I will keep you posted on any more unexplained mysterious goings on!!

Christmas!
It's nearly Christmas and we're planning on telling the rest of our family about the good news!
This year, we're spending the 22nd - 26th with Anneka's Family and the 26th - 1st with mine, the former in Tamworth and the latter in Windsor. We'll be able to tell my grandparents and grandma; Anneka's grandpa and nan; along with both sets of my aunt/uncle.
We'll let you know how it goes - but in the meantime, have a great Christmas and we hope Santa brings you everything that you wished for!

Due date
I completely forgot to mention in the kerfuffle as I was posting the pictures of Little Baby earlier - but we were also given the due date of the baby, along with a folder full of leaflets; paperwork and books.
06/07/08, or 6th July 2008!
At least we wont forget it! However, from what we've heard already and from what I've read in the numerous books we've started to accumulate - there's a small chance that Little Baby will actually be born on 06/07/08 - here's hoping though!

First pictures!
Today Anneka had her first Ultra-Sound scan, as we're 12 weeks in. It was the first time we've seen Little Baby - and the nurse was surprised at how much baby wriggled! Now everything is beginning to finally make sense and seem a lot more real for us.
Once we got home, I scanned the 3 pictures in, so that you can see Little Baby too:
According to the nurse, Little Baby appears healthy and has 2 arms and 2 legs (as visible in the above photos). Baby measured about 36mm (3.6cm) in length, from head to bum!

First post by Mummy!
It doesn't seem very long since we found out that I was pregnant, but already 6 weeks have flown by! I feel like I've gone through many emotional and physical changes already and I know that there is lots more to come...
One of the most notable changes that Matt and I have picked up on straight away is that I am constantly tired; since we met I have always found that I am the last one to drop off to sleep out of the two of us, but now I am almost always in bed and asleep first! Matt says he likes this change but it is very annoying for me as I haven't finished a book in over a month and when you're a big book worm like me that is drastic!!! I've also found that in the last two weeks I have been very hungry even after eating a big meal - half an hour later my stomach will be rumbling again, I've tried to take hold of this by eating something small if I do feel hungry, as I don't think I'll appreciate eating more than I should in the long run!
Both Matt and I have also found that we are noticing babies and other pregnant people more than we would normally, which is funny as I guess when something like this happens it totally takes over your life; even to the point of your mind becoming more aware of whats around you!
Our first scan is booked for 11th December - thats just two weeks from now, I can't wait to see our little one and no doubt we will be posting a pic on here for you all to see!!
