Two days ago I felt Baby Juffs kicking for the first time. At the moment the movements are slight but definately there reminding me of the growing baby in my tummy! I can’t wait for Matt and Lily to be able to feel them too…
Lily is taking much interest in baby almost every morning she lifts up my pyjama top and says “babeee” giving kisses or stroking my small but definately there bump.

At 14 months Lily has already mastered a variety of words:
- Mama, Mum
- Dada, Daddy, Dad
- Bum
- Baby
- Kiss
- Shoes
- Stone
- Ball
- Gocks- her name for socks
- Nose
- Hair
- Deet- her name for feet
- Daisy- her favourite in the night garden character Upsy Daisy
- Shoes
- Done
- Gone- a firm favourite
- Down – usually said when she wants to get out of her high chair
- Car
- Bye Bye – accompanied by waving
- Juice
- Wee
- Boobs (no idea how she learnt this!)
As well as indvidual words she also says “Dada gone car work” when Daddy goes to work every morning. She can several names too including those of her Aunts and Uncles- Ben, Kim, Karl, Alice (more like Alisss) Rachel (Rara), and those of our friends Katie (Kakat), and Gracie! She makes attempts at her own name and has said it quite clearly on a few occassions.

We’ve not posted any updates in ages, so I thought I’d fill you in on Lily’s progress over the past ~14 months of her life. The health visitor recently said she’s developing well and is a healthy, happy baby. Here’s my list of what I’ve noticed (in no particular order):
- She can now walk confidently, with only a few stumbles
- She can run short distances (no marathons – yet)
- She’s learnt to feed herself with a spoon if she feels like it
- Her appetite has grown – as she finishes adult portions of breakfast cereals every morning
- Lily sleeps throughout the night
- Bedtime is at 8pm and we lie her in her cot to sleep without any fuss
- She awakes at 7am regularly each morning
- Milk has reduced to just the one bottle of full-fat just before bedtime
- Her naps are sparse and she enjoys sleeping in her cot on her own
- She enjoys her grown-up car seat, whereas she cried when we put her in the carry car seat
- Her feet are now a size 5
- We’re yet to find a food she dislikes – her favourites include homemade curry
- Lily’s vocabulary is ever-growing and she has lengthy conversations with us
Overall, she’s growing up fast and we’re amazed at how our little baby is fast becoming a toddler! She’s even learnt how to have a proper teenage strop and has us wrapped around both her little fingers.
We’ll continue to update you, hopefully a lot more regularly as the months roll into years. I’m looking forward to this Christmas, as she’ll be able to convery her excitement a lot more.

It has been a busy month in the life of our gorgeous Lily! About 2 weeks ago she mastered crawling and now loves nothing more than exploring everywhere. The other day she went on a mission to “rearrange” Daddy’s xbox games and things which are now at Lily level are having to find new homes.
Lily is a proper foody now, loving her home cooked dinners and puddings too which happen to be her favourite along with curry, spag bol and sunday roast!Yum.
We are still busy with all our baby groups, and are starting a new baby signing group on Monday just to add to our busy schedule. Which means Lily is well and truly worn out by the end of the day so she sleeps from about 8pm-7am!Yay sleep for Mummy which is strange after 6 months of broken nights.
As yet more milestones are ticked off we become increasingly more and more proud of our clever little girl.
