Lily news!

It has been a busy month in the life of our gorgeous Lily! About 2 weeks ago she mastered crawling and now loves nothing more than exploring everywhere. The other day she went on a mission to “rearrange” Daddy’s xbox games and things which are now at Lily level are having to find new homes.

Lily is a proper foody now, loving her home cooked dinners and puddings too which happen to be her favourite along with curry, spag bol and sunday roast!Yum.

We are still busy with all our baby groups, and are starting a new baby signing group on Monday just to add to our busy schedule. Which means Lily is well and truly worn out by the end of the day so she sleeps from about 8pm-7am!Yay sleep for Mummy which is strange after 6 months of broken nights.

As yet more milestones are ticked off we become increasingly more and more proud of our clever little girl.

6 months ago today…

I was in labour. Had been having pains since midnight on 6th July (my due date) and had eventually called the labour ward at about 2pm after having a show and contractions getting gradually more painful and closer together. Once we arrived I was examined and was about 2cm diliated so we went home again to wait it out. Got home and went to bed within an hour had got up to go to loo and waters had broke all over bedroom floor!! I screamed at Matt to get towels as was worried about the floor getting ruined! Went back into to hospital and at 2.32am on 7th Lily Elizabeth was born and things have never been the same since.

I can’t believe how quick the time has gone and that my baby will be half a year old tomorrow. She has been an angel today and has been saying muma since she woke up and really happy. She has grown so quick and changes ever day. Am so blessed to have her in my life and to be her Mummy it is such a pleasure.

5 months old!

Today Lily is 5 months and 1 day old! It’s also approximately 5 months ago that I last wrote on here - how time flies!

Being a Dad is the most rewarding experience I’ve ever come across. Lily’s in her own routine now, which fits well with our lives. She’s a lot more lively and seems to be a very happy baby, exploring everything around her and taking it all in. Soon she’ll be fully crawling, as at the moment she attempts it, resulting in frustration from not much movement.

I’m looking forward to her 1st Christmas and to Santa visiting the house!

Roly Poly!

This week Lily has mastered the art of rolling! She can get from her back to her front and then back again- although sometimes she forgets that she can roll back again and so gets fustrated!! On her tummy she holds her head steady and pulls/pushes herself forward with her bum in the air!

Matt caught her on camera the other night maybe he might be able to put some footage on here sometime soon!!

On a different note today is the 7th November making Lily four months old!!! Oh how time flies!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Lily’s first Halloween!!! Trick or Treat?
